With over two billion active users in around 180 countries, WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app globally. This essentially means that WhatsApp is a part of daily life for one in every four people in this world. Since its inception in 2009, the instant messaging giant has witnessed a growth that very few other companies have ever seen.
People use WhatsApp to send a lot of messages every day. More precisely, over 100 billion of them are sent and received each day among the users. But that is not surprising for an app like WhatsApp, which has billions of users worldwide and the core functionality of sending messages.
What’s surprising, though, is the extent of curiosity we have for finding new and hidden features in this simple messaging app. For instance, the other day, we got curious about the possibility of sending blank messages on WhatsApp. So, out of curiosity, we explored the web thoroughly and found out not one but several ways of sending empty messages on WhatsApp.
We also found that we were not alone, that we share this curiosity with thousands of users like you, who are interested in knowing the ‘how’ of sending blank messages on WhatsApp but are lost in the maze of endless ways that do not work.
That’s why we came up with this blog to tell you the secrets of sending blank messages on WhatsApp so that you can leave your friends scratching their heads wondering how you did that.
What is the use of Blank Messages on WhatsApp?
We are kidding. Had there been an actual use of blank messages on WhatsApp, the app would have enabled this feature long ago. Don’t you think the same?
By virtue of our fundamental nature, we humans are always attracted to things that are not readily achievable. This nature depicts itself in all the inventions and progress we make. Therefore, sending blank messages to friends on WhatsApp is just another result of our unending curiosities.
There is one advantage of being able to send empty messages, though- you will look cool among your friends who had no idea that such a thing was even possible. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s get right into it.
How to Send Blank Message on Whatsapp
If you are reading this blog, you might have already tried using the SpaceBar to send a blank message, haven’t you? And that is how you came to know that that doesn’t work. We understand. Not that we are mind readers of any sort- not a bit. It’s just that we have tried and failed while doing the same thing.
But we want you to succeed! And that is why we have come up with three working methods of sending blank messages on WhatsApp. Let’s look at each of them below.
1. The Copy-Paste Method
This method relies on copying the empty characters between words. Using this trick, you can send blank messages to anyone without the help of any third-party app or tool. Follow these steps to use this method:
Step 1: On your phone, open any web browser, preferably Chrome.
Step 2: Open any web page on the browser by manually entering a website URL or searching anything on Google.
Step 3: Once the webpage loads, select and copy the space between any two words on the page.
If you are reading this blog on your phone’s browser, you can skip the first two steps and simply copy the space between any two words in this blog.
Step 4: Now, open WhatsApp and go to the conversation where you want to send the blank message.
Step 5: Press and hold anywhere on the Typing Box. On the floating box that appears, tap on Paste. The Send button will get activated.
Step 6: Hit the Send button.
Congrats! You have successfully sent a blank message on WhatsApp.
If you want to go creative, you can also send blank messages with a string of empty characters. Doing this will increase the length and breadth of the blank messages.
To do this, first, paste the copied character once, then hit the space button on your keypad as many times as you want. You can also insert the character in each line by repeatedly pressing the Enter key and pasting the empty character in each line. Finally, paste the empty character once more and tap the Send button. Your blank message will become larger in size.
2. The Third-Party App Method
The first trick is quite easy, and you won’t have any issues while using the trick. But you may find the copy-paste thing a bit boring and a bit of a hassle, especially if you want to send longer blank messages. There are a few apps to make your task easier. We will now tell you about one such app.
Step 1: Open Play Store on your phone.
Step 2: Search for Empty – No Word for WA. Or just click on this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whats.up.emptymessage.
Step 3: Install the app.
Step 4: After the app has finished installing, open it. You will see a drop-down menu that contains the number of empty characters to paste. There will also be a check-box that will insert each character in a new line when checked.
Step 5: Select the number of characters you want and tap on the Copy button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: Open WhatsApp, select the desired Chat, paste the characters, and hit the Send button. Your blank message will be sent.
