If you can still see deleted contact on Whatsapp, you need to refresh your contact list.

Here’s how you can:

Step 1: Launch WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Step 2: The first screen you’ll see is your Chats page. At the bottom right corner of the screen, locate a green icon with a white text bubble and tap on it.

Step 3: On your contact list page, tap on the icon of three dots arranged vertically.

Step 4: On the drop-down menu, tap on the third option called Refresh.  You can refresh as many times as it takes for the contact to be removed from the list. Usually, the WhatsApp developer’s team is careful about errors such as these, so it’s improbable for this problem to persist.

How to Delete Contacts on Whatsapp

Follow steps 1 and 2 from the last section.

Step 3: That will take you to your WhatsApp contact list. Scroll down and locate the contact that you want to delete. Alternatively, you can also just tap on the Search icon at the top of the screen and type in their name for a quicker search.

Step 4: In their chat, tap on the icon of three dots arranged vertically at the top right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear.

Step 5: Tap on the first item from that menu: View contact.

Step 6: Again, locate the icon of three dots arranged vertically and tap on it.

Step 7: From the menu that appears, tap on the third option that says View in address book. This will take you straight to their contact in your device’s phone book.

Step 8: You can locate the Delete or Delete contact option according to your phone’s system, and you’re good to go.

Now, go back to WhatsApp and check if you can still see their contact. If you can’t, your work here is done. 

However, if you can still see their contact, refresh your contact list on WhatsApp.

Alternative way to remove someone from your WhatsApp
