How to Make Someone a Moderator on Discord

Discord is known for providing a seamless yet sophisticated way to connect with people with shared interests. Although Discord servers are similar to other online communities that allow users to interact with others and share their thoughts, the extent of customization and personalization services Discord offers cannot be found in any community on any other platform. While it is pretty interesting and fun to be a member of a Discord server, managing a server can be difficult, especially if the server is large.

The interactive interface and endless customizations of Discord servers are the reasons why the platform has become a hub of community-driven endeavors that allow users to meet new people, make friends, and share experiences.

However, the variety of features available on the platform can sometimes become pretty overwhelming for a single owner or administrator when a large number of members are taken into account. As such, the need for moderators is natural to arise.

Discord allows server owners and administrators to assign customized roles to other members. Depending on the requirements, admins can grant specific permissions to members over and above the general permissions they already have. You can create new roles, name them, assign the required permissions, and add members you think are suitable for the role.

Creating the role of a moderator on a Discord server in the Discord Mobile app differs slightly from the process on the Discord website. Therefore, we will discuss the process of both interfaces separately.

On the Discord Mobile App
