The information is critical as Binance should be complying with different regulations that are location-specific and its policies and systems might not be complying in you’re the region you reside in.
If that’s your situation, then you won’t be allowed for carrying out any transactions on it. If you reside in the US, Binance will provide you with another version of the global platform for serving the market known as Binance US.
This is the platform that’s compliant with the regulations in the US.
There will be two-stage ID verification. The first stage will need your basic information and in the next, you have to provide facial verification and ID documents.
Step 4: Fill in Required Details
Fill in all of the basic details you are asked for. This will include your address and name. Also, make sure that all of the detail you enter also matches with the ID documents you will be used for verifications. This can make sure that you are providing the matching details for further stages. You need to provide documents for verification in this step like your bank statement. The address that’s printed on the document should match with the dialog box address.
This will be the end of verification for this stage. Binance is going to prompt you for moving ahead with the next stage and that’s face verification.
Step 5: Choose ID Documents
Now you need to choose one of the three options for ID that’s government-issued. This contains an international passport, driver’s license, or National identity card. You might be having all of these, but Binance just needs one.
Select the one that you are comfortable with while you go ahead with the next stage.
Step 6: Upload to Binance
Now submit your picture for the document. As per the chosen document, you need to also submit both sides of your document. One can also have just one picture of passport but one has to upload a picture of the back and front faces for the other two options mentioned.
Binance lets you submit the files in the following formats: PNG, JPEG, JPG. Also, the size shouldn’t exceed over 5 MB.
Upload your portrait picture of yourself. For this step, Binance is going to prompt you for uploading your picture. The file size and format stay similar to the one that’s needed for ID documents.

You can choose your webcam in case you are using your desktop or the phone camera through their app. Binance will be providing you with a QR code for scanning through the app if you go with the latter choice.
Now this will be the end of your verification process. These steps are simple and the app will help you in completing the entire process in about 10 minutes. The platform also provides you 24 hours and 10 attempts for identity verification.
The verification process might take much less time but might take longer if you are trying during peak hours or in rare instances. When you complete this stage, it’s time to move ahead with the Advanced verification!
