How to Unfollow Inactive Twitter Users

If you’re a teenager who uses Twitter, there are few people like you. The majority of Twitter users are middle-aged with an interest in politics and news or are working people who use Twitter as a professional connection network. This is because soon after Twitter’s launch, the platform had a choice to introduce features that attract young users or focus on its current clientele. Twitter chose the latter, and we can safely say it’s more than a fair deal. Let us explain exactly why we’re of that opinion.

Firstly, while most youngsters didn’t like the political and anxiety-inducing part of the platform, there are several communities on Twitter made by and for teenagers. Moreover, since Twitter recommends to the user what they already seem to like, not everyone has to see politics unless they want to. All in all, Twitter still has a moderately strong youngster user base.

Secondly, by not adding teenage-friendly features and modifications, Twitter chose to go from the generic social media networking site to something unique and different. Users of all ages can choose to blend in with the platform’s ways instead of the platform bending to the users’ will.

Lastly, Twitter has also successfully established itself as a reliable news source and professional platform, which was its goal. Instead of just being another platform teenagers can mindlessly scroll their precious days away on, Twitter has more substance and meaning.
